What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be building the interfaces that merchants and internal teams use every day. This includes the merchant-facing portal where businesses manage their payments, view analytics, and control their account settings, as well as internal tools that help our operations team onboard and support merchants.

You're not just implementing designs—you're shaping the user experience, making technical decisions about architecture and performance, and working closely with our back end team to build features end-to-end. You'll have real ownership over the front end codebase and the products merchants interact with.

Your Impact:

• Build and ship features that directly impact how thousands of merchants run their businesses

• Own the merchant portal experience from design implementation to performance optimization

• Create internal tools that make our operations team more efficient

• Shape our front end architecture and development practices as an early technical hire

• Work directly with founders and product leadership to define what we build next

What You Bring:

Experience & Technical Skills

• 3-5+ years of professional front end development experience

• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

• Experience building responsive, accessible web applications

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and front end build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.)

• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating with back end services

• Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)

• Understanding of web security best practices

Bonus Points

• Experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services

• TypeScript experience

• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3, Chart.js, Recharts)

• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries

• Experience building internal tools or admin panels

Compensation:

Base Salary: $150,000 - $200,000

• Competitive salary based on experience and skills

Equity

• 1% - 3% equity stake in AXCEPT
